DESCRIPTION

Vintage British Army Jungle Trousers [LC11]

Genuine British Army issue olive green cotton twill trousers with twin buckle fasteners; commonly known as the '50 pattern' or 'Gurkha trousers' but the exact design was subject to numerous small changes between 1950 and 2000. These trousers are likely dated to the 1970s based on similar dated examples, and are labelled with the imperial Size 10.

Condition:

These trousers are in quite salty used condition with signs of moderate wear. There are some marks and discolouration on the fabric, and some small areas of broken stitching. The trousers have been altered to add pin-tucks along the front and back of each leg; this was popular among soldiers to help make trousers appear freshly ironed with crisp creases. The item is still wearable and very serviceable in spite of the wear, price is reflective of condition.
